Day 1

Siem Reap

Arrival in Siem Reap and welcome by your guide. 
Transfer to your hotel in the city center.

Visit the art gallery of Mr. Theam.

Day 2

Siem Reap

First discovery of the temples of Angkor (UNESCO) in tuk-tuk.

Visit the temples of Angkor Thom, which means "the great city", it is the largest site of the archaeological park and the last capital of the Angkorian Empire.Visit the Bayon and its mystical faces, Baphuon, the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King.

Visit the 8th wonder of the world, Angkor Wat: One of the most splendid human achievement to have ever emerged, Angkor Wat is the most famous monument of Angkor. It is a 12th century temple dedicated to Vishnu, built during the reign of King Suryavarman II. The heart of the temple is surrounded by a series of galleries covered with carved bas-reliefs.

Visit Ta Prohm, made famous by the film Tomb Raider, this temple nestled in the jungle is the perfect example of nature taking its rights! Indeed, the great roots and ficus pushed inside the ruins and today sublimate the stones.

Day 3

Siem Reap

Day trip to Kbal Spean (the Thousand Linga River) north of Angkor. You will reach the site after a 45-minute walk through the forest.

Visit a more remote part of the Angkor site (20km), the Banteay Srei temple says the "citadel of women". This is one of the best preserved temples with numerous mythological decorations making it one of the most charming temples of the archaeological park.

Visit Banteay Samre temple and bike ride. Visit of Preah Khan temple. At the end of the day, stop at the temple of Pre Rup to admire the sunset over the temples of Angkor.

Day 4

Siem Reap > Battambang

Discovery of "Artisans d'Angkor" field school where young Cambodians learn traditional crafts. Visit of the factory "Senteurs d'Angkor".

Road to Battambang.

Visit the pagoda of Wat Sa Damrei built in the early 20th century and survived the Khmer Rouge. Discovery of "Artisans d'Angkor" field school where young Cambodians learn traditional crafts.

Day 5

Battambang

Bicycle ride to meet the Cham and Vietnamese villages. 

Discovery of rural life with a visit to a factory of rice leaves, dried bananas, rice wine or even Prahok. Visit the village Wat Kor and its traditional houses dating back more than a century. Tour of Battambang with the governor's house, the courthouse and the market. These monuments from colonialism kept their French architecture. 

To end the day, visit the Phnom Sampov hill and its Killing Cave. Today Phnom Sampov is one of the most important religious sites of the country. The name Killing Cave was given to him after the period of the Khmer Rouge who used it to throw the bodies of the victims. At sunset, you will witness a natural spectacle out of the ordinary with the exit of the cave thousands of bats go hunting insects.

Day 6

Battambang > Phnom Penh

Road to Phnom Penh.

Ride in small boat to discover the floating village of Kampong Luong. This village is less touristy than those around Siem Reap. Real little floating city, the change of scenery will be total. The village being floating, it drifts according to the level of the water and the seasons. 

On the road, visit the temple of Wat Kampong Tralach. Continue to Kampong Chhnang who is located on the river Tonle Sap. The region is registered UNESCO as a biosphere reserve. Visit the local market to admire the pottery. 

Visit the hills of Oudong, the ancient capital of Cambodia for more than 250 years. 

Arrival in Phnom Penh at the end of the day.

Day 7

Phnom Penh

At the opening, visit the Royal Palace which is the residence of kings since 1860 and the reign of Norodom I. Real gem, the buildings offer superb examples of traditional Khmer architecture. 

Visit the National Museum in one of the finest buildings in the city dating back to 1917, inspired by the architecture of ancientatemples and palaces. 

Museum of Genocide Tuol Sleng S-21 prison, a former high school turned into a deadly prison during the reign of the Khmer Rouge. This visit will be the hardest part of your trip but it will offer you a glimpse of the most difficult, painful and obscure period of the country. By late afternoon, stroll in the Russian market, which is one of the most important and popular markets in the city.

Day 8

Phnom Penh > Kep

Road to Kep.

Visit the Kep market where you will discover specialities: the Blue Crab with Kampot Pepper.

Kep - Kampot

Head for the pepper plantations by the Secret Lake which offers a magnificent panorama of the surrounding mountains. 

Visit the pepper Plantation "La Plantation". The guide of this farm will explain why Kampot pepper is so popular. Enjoy a cooking class at the Plantation, where the chef will show you how to cook food according to the pepper used. 

Lunch at La Plantation. 

Before leaving, ride in a cart pulled by water buffaloes to discover the pepper plantations in a unique way. Visit the salt fields of Kampot and discover the workers and their traditional methods of salt harvesting.
